Bodies of two women discovered near railway track

Puttur, Nov 19, 2012 : The bodies of two women were found near the railway track under a bridge near the Polya to Keduvadka stretch of road early in the morning of Nov 19, Monday.

The two women are suspected to have been murdered. Although their identity has not yet been established, they are said to have been Muslims.

The older woman was around 55 years of age and dressed in a sari and the younger woman was around 22 years of age and dressed in a salwar – kameez and burkha.

A blood-stained weapon was also found near their bodies.

SP Abhishek Goyal, accompanied by a railway police team, arrived at the spot. The police also used a dog squad for preliminary investigation.
