Sharada Vidyalaya team emerges champion at CIL Fest 2012

Mangalore, Dec11, 2012: Amidst stiff contest among as many as 20 schools, Sharada Vidyalaya lifted the overall Winners Trophy of the CIL Fest 2012, the annual inter-school event of Centre for Integrated Learning, which concluded at Mathruchaya Hall of Sri Gujarathi School here on December 9, Sunday.

St. Mary’s School from Udupi bagged the second place in the two day event comprising of an array of contests and skill development activities.Senior Advocate and President of Mangalore Bar Association, Ashok Ariga distributed the prizes at the valedictory function in the  presence of President of Gujarathi Mahajan Association, Hirubhai H Baldev.

The competitive events included Essay Writing, Just A Minute (JAM), Quiz, Spell-It, What’s The Good Word, Debate, Poster Making, Dumb Charades and Group Dance.

CIL Fest was earlier inaugurated on December 8, Saturday  by Akshay Raj,  winner of Doodle 4 Google design contest and  Viani D’ Cunha, International level Chess star.

 The fest was unique as it was organized by the student volunteers of CIL and Gujarathi School, thus making the event `By the Students, For the Students and Of the Students’
