Kasargod : Thieves tie down family members, loot gold, cash at Kumble

 Kasargod, Dec 24,2912:  A family from Kumble  lost  nearly 45 sovereigns of gold and  a cash of Rs 25000 after thieves who entered the house tied them down and escaped with the jewellery on the night of December 22, Saturday. The theft took place in the house of one Rajesh Shenoy near Kumble at around 8 pm.

It is learnt, the  thieves wearing monkey caps and armed with sword, cycle chain and other lethal weapons entered the house through the main door  and used  some intoxicants to  make the occupants of the house unconscious and then left with the booty.

It is learnt, they have stolen 12 gold bangles, five chains and three rings apart from the  cash. It is learnt, they had jumped inside the compound from the rear to enter the house. Reports also said the thieves spoke in Kannada, English and Hindi

The theft came to light when one of the family members who had gone out, returned.  Finger print experts and a dog squad were pressed into service. Kumble police have registered a case.
