Speaking to reporters at Press Club on Dec 24, Monday, KJP State Executive member Mariamma Thomas alleged that former CM DV Sadananda Gowda as well as the present  CM Jagadish Shettar have shown no interest in continuing the welfare schemes  including Bhagyalakshmi Scheme, Sandhya Suraksha, Self Help Groups and Widow Pension scheme initiated by former CM and KJP Chief Yeddyurappa.

She also alleged that the political conspiracy of BJP leaders had victimized Yeddyurappa and earned him the hatred of BJP members. “But today, the BJP is worried to see people of all classes coming forward to back Yeddyurappa,” she said.

Countering the claims of former CM Sadananda Gowda that none from the BJP would join the KJP, Mariamma Thomas said on December 23 around 3000 people have been enrolled as registered members of KJP. Even the first KJP meeting was a great success, she claimed.

KJP State Secretary Ramachandra Baikampady, Kamaraj Rai, Ravindra Shetty and Srinivas Shetty Nariya were present.
