Udupi : 1 killed, 4 injured in car-bus collision

Udupi, jan 21, 2013 :  A person travelling in a car lost his life and four others sustained injuries when the car collided head on with a bus near Airodi Telephone Exchange on NH 66 on January 20, Sunday. The deceased is Naveenchandra (38), a resident of  Kundapur.

The bus was operating  on the Brahmavar-Kundapur route while the car was proceeding towards Udupi from Kundapur when the mishap took place.

The injured car passengers Manohar Jogi,Santosh Kharvi, Varadaraj Kharvi and Vimalesh Shet have been admitted to Manipal Hospital.

 A few bus passengers too sustained minor injuries. Kaup police have registered a case.
