Mangalore Feb 7, 2013 : A passenger travelling on an Air India Express Flight from Sharjah to Trivandrum all of a sudden fell ill, forcing the pilot to make an emergency landing at the Mangalore Airport on February 6, Wednesday at around 3.30 pm.
Sources said the passenger PA Sabu from Kollam had all of a sudden begun to vomit blood. The alert flight crew immediately contacted the nearest Mangalore airport authorities and sought emergency landing.
As soon as the flight made an emergency landing, the ambulance and doctors were ready to assist the patient who was rushed to Yenepoya hospital where he is said to be recovering.
Air India Express authorities also made arrangements to inform the patient’s family in Kollam.
The flight later took off to Trivendrum at 5.30 pm.
