Decomposed body of woman found in drain at Kemmannu

Udupi, Feb 16, 2013 : A highly decomposed body of an elderly woman has been found in a drain at Hampanakatte at Kemmannu on February 15, Friday. The body was first noticed by a woman while picking up a coconut that had fallen into the drain.

Police have identified the deceased as Sushila Baburao K (64), wife of Baburao KT of Mahadev Mandir, Road  Mumbai, as per the details  in a bank pass book and cheque book found near the body.

Police said Susheela might have died weeks ago as the body which was rotten had begun drying up. Police suspect some head injuries, but the exact cause of the death can be ascertained after a post mortem. Malpe police have registered a case.
