Manipal : 2 held for drug trafficking

Udupi, Feb 25, 2013 :  Two persons from Bhatkal  who were selling  drugs near the Perampalli Church at Shivalli in Manipal were arrested  on February 24, Sunday. Nearly 1.15 kg of ganja worthy Rs 25,000,  a cash of Rs 7800,  a Maruti Omni, two mobile phones , all valued at Rs 1.83 lakhs has been seized from them.

The arrested are Vinayak(43) and Nafeesa alias Fareeda(40)  from Belakhanda in Bhatkal. The raid was conducted following a tip off  and was led by Sadananda A Tippannanavar, Manipal Inspector.

A case has been registered.
