Fire mishap in bank at Phalimar

Udupi, Feb 27, 2013: A fire mishap was reported from the Phalimar branch of Syndicate Bank on the night of February 25, Monday. However, a major damage was averted by the locals who realising that the electric meter board had caught fire, extinguished the fire to some extent. Later, a fire brigade from Lanco, put out the fire completely.

A bank official who arrived almost two hours of the incident said that it was a minor fire mishap and had caused minimal damage.
