Boy who ate omelette laced with rat poison dies

Udupi, Feb 27, 2013: Thirteen year old Prajnesh Shetty  from Parkala Herge village lost his  life after he ate an omlette laced with rat powder. Incidentlly, Prajnesh himself had prepared the omelette and mistaking the rat poison for pepper powder, used it to prepare the omelette.

The incident took place when his mother was away. It is said Prajnesh who was    shifted to the hospital as soon as he fell ill, battled for life for nearly five days and breathed his last on February 26. The family came to know that he had mixed rat poison in the omelette only much later.

Manipal police have registered a case.
