Mangalore: Bust of late KK Pai unveiled at World Konkani Centre

Mangalore, March 1, 2013: The bust of KK Pai, eminent banker and founder chairman of Konkani Language and Cultural Foundation, was unveiled   at the World Konkani Centre here on February 28, Thursday by  P Dayananda Pai,  entrepreneur and Chairman of the Foundation.

In his address, Dayananda Pai recollected the contributions of Late KK Pai to the Konkani community and exhorted the present generation to consider him their role model.

Sandhya S Pai, Managing Editor of Taranga Weekly who also spoke,  said the society has to learn a lot from the life and achievements of Late KK Pai.

 T Sathish U Pai, Managing Trustee, K K Pai Trust, Manipal, also spoke on the occasion. Basti Vaman Shenoy, President of the Foundation,  Venkatesh Baliga, Pradeep G Pai and others were present.

 Kishan Gangolli from Kundapur who will be taking part in the World Chess Championship at Spain  this year, was felicitated and presented a cheque of Rs 75,000 on behalf of the Foundation.
