Konkani movie ‘Ujwaadu’ bags best regional film award

Bangalore, Mar 16, 2013 : The much acclaimed Konkani film ‘Ujwaadu,’ meaning The Light, directed by Kasargod Chinna, President of Konkani Sahitya Academy, has bagged the Best Regional Movie Award announced by the Government of Karnataka.

 

It is a film in GSB Konkani which was made after a gap of almost over three and a half decades. Kasargod Chinna has said the Award is for the entire film team and is a result of its hard works. He said the Award is also   an honour for the entire Konkani community.

Ujwaadu has already been screened at international film festivals.
