Udupi: Young Entrepreneur Abdul Saleem (26) Dies in Road Mishap

Udupi,Mar 30, 2013 : Abdul Saleem (26), an entrepreneur from Santosh Nagar here, while riding his scooter near Ganesh Marbles at Nittoor, died after a tipper lorry on NH 66 hit his scooter on Thursday, Mar 28 night.

The pillion-rider, Amir Ali (20) of Muniyalu in Karkala taluk, has been severely injured and has been admitted to a hospital.

The scooter was behind the tipper in the traffic. The tipper driver is said to have suddenly moved to the middle of the road. The right hand side of the tipper hit the scooter, resulting in both the riders being thrown on to the road. Abdul Saleem sustained very severe injuries in the head but he died in the hospital around midnight.

Abdul Saleem was engaged in supply of slabs. He was recently engaged and the marriage was to take place soon.

A case has been registered by the town police.
