Mangalore, April 2, 2013 : One of the accused in a multi-crore fraud case reported from a sea food industry here earlier this year, has been apprehended at the Devanahalli Airport in Bangalore on March 31. The arrest was made by the Pandeshwar police and City Crime Branch Inspector Venkatesh Prasanna.
The arrested person is Mohammad Eshan. He was arrested no sooner he landed at the airport from a flight from an international flight. Eshan who worked as a quality control executive in the same industry had been missing ever since the case stood exposed.
The accused is presently in the custody of Crime Branch Police in Mangalore. Police are on the look out for two more persons namely Chang Lee from Korea and Arif Mohammad who are also wanted in connection with the case. They are said to be based in Saudi Arabia
One of the main accused Shameer Bashyar had been arrested in February. It is said he along with six others had caused losses to the company through fraudulent transactions running to over Rs 2 crores.
