Sudhaker Shetty to be BJP candidate from Udupi?

Udupi, April 5, 2013: According to reliable information, the BJP has decided to field Sudhaker Shetty, a hotelier and  former vice president of the CMC as its candidate from the Udupi Assembly constituency.

As already reported, the sitting Udupi MLA Raghupathi Bhat who is caught in a sleaze video row, has decided against contesting.

Sudhaker Shetty owns the Sharada International Hotel and is also the former president of Udupi Urban Development Authority.

In the 2004 elections, after being denied a ticket, Shetty had contested as an independent with the support of Hindu Yuva Sene and had managed to secure  45000 votes.
