Moodbidri surveyor trapped by Lokayukta

Moodbidri, April 9, 2013 :  A  land surveyor of Moodbidri  was trapped by the Lokayukta police on April 8, Monday when he  was accepting bribe from a person for handing  over the sketch of a land.

The arrested surveyor is Manjunath. One Hanumanthappa alias Harish  had applied for a sketch of his land  in survey no. 27/8 at Manthradi village about three months ago.  It is learnt when the surveyor demanded a higher bribe amount to give the sketch,

Hanumanthappa informed the Lokayukta sleuths who arrested Manjunath when  he was accepting the bribe. He was produced before the court in Mangalore and remanded to judicial custody.

Lokayukta SP C Mohandas, DySP Vittaldas Pai, Inspector Umesh Shet and others were part of the operation.
