Mangalorean youth ties knot to Chinese girl

Mangalore, April 27, 2013 : Mangalore was recently witness to a special wedding. It was a wedding of a Mangalorean youth with a Chinese bride. An almost three year long courtship between Adarsh Felix of Vamanjoor and Tyang Xio Lan (Now renamed Taanya)  ended in their wedding in Mangalore in the presence of family, friends and relatives who heartily blessed the couple. What makes this couple as well as their wedding special is that it was their love for reading that brought them together.
Adarsh initially worked at Wipro in Bangalore and later joined a company in Shanghai where he came into contact with Taanya. The two met at a library at Shanghai which both used to frequent. If Adarsh loved reading good books, Taanya used to come to the library in search of books  authored by India’s famous author Chethan Bhagath.
Adarsh says  he had first introduced Taanya to his family  as a friend in 2011.Later, when his parents were in search of a suitable bride for him, he expressed his desire to marry Taanya and they agreed. “There were times when  Taanya was even questioned if she was a spy as her father was an officer in Chinese air force. Now everyone has accepted her, Adarsh says and adds Taanya wants to settle either in India or China.Taanya works as a Client Manager in KEVI Shanghai Technology.
