Mangalore: Encouraging Youths’ to vote - Get discount at movies by flashing inked finger

Mangalore, May 3, 2013 : To ensure maximum votes election officials, private organizations and groups are introducing many awareness measures and have been influencing the public to vote without fail.

A common complaint was heard that younger generation show least interest in casting their vote. The Cinepolis movie house in the city has made a unique offer to encourage the young voters to turn up at the polling booth.

People of age 18 to 28 years after casting their vote on May 5, can turn up at the Cinepolis and show the ink mark on the finger and age verification to obtain a discount of 25% on the entrance ticket for any movie. 

“The offer will be applicable on May 6 also”, said Kirtan Shetty of Cinepolis at a media meet.
