Minister Khader verifies his statement in the JMFC second court

Mangalore, May 21, 2013: JMFC second court in the city had summoned State health minister, U T Khadar to verify his statement in correlation with the alleged violation of election code of conduct by him during the bypoll held in 2007 for Ullal constituency. He appeared the court on Monday May 20.

It may be recalled here that U T Fareed, then MLA died in February 2007 and Ullal constituency became vacant. U T Khadar won the by-election in his father’s seat in June, 2007.

The sectoral officer had registered a complaint of violation of election code of conduct against Khadar for transporting people to an electioneering assembly organized at Bengre .

He had also appeared in a number of hearings relating to the case earlier, and recorded his statements.

He Defeated Chandrashekhar Uchchil of the BJP and JD(S) candidate, Abubaker Natekal who were also present in the court hearing on Monday.
