Worms in meat: Adi Udupi residents force mutton stall to shut down

Udupi, July 24, 2013: Residents of Adi Udupi forced a mutton stall in the area to shut down after they found worms in the meat purchased from the stall on July 24, Wednesday.

As many as 40 people from Malpe had purchased meat from the Bhavani Mutton Stall early morning on Wednesday on account of a Harake at the Marigudi at Kaup. But, to their dismay they found worms in the meat and rushed to the stall to return it.On seeing hundreds of people rushing towards his shop, the stall ownerr fled the place. The people also found  nearly 100 kg of rotten meat in the stall.

A case has been registered in the local police station.
