Define success in your own terms: Dr.Shivasharan Shetty

Mangalore, July 30, 2013: “All want to be successful individuals. Success is not a destination. It has no definition either. Each of you must define success in your own terms. There is no limit to what you can achieve if you are well aware of your goal” said Dr Shivasharan Shetty of Katalyst Media Network. He was addressing the students and staff of Besant women’s College.

Speaking after inauguration of ‘Student Union 2013-14’ he advised the students to act with positive attitude and faith in oneself and thus strive to achieve objectives of student union with faith and team spirit. Quoting examples of most successful women in the field of art, business and media, he said Besant College with its best education facilities has been providing a chance for talented girls to emerge as successful and worthwhile individuals.

Prof. Pushpalatha B K, principal of the college administered the oath to the new student’s union office bearers for this year. Niharika BM was sworn in as the president of students’ union while Mufeena, Sushmitha Achar and Pooja Bangera as vice-president, secretary and joint secretary respectively. All the association secretaries and class representatives were also took oath during the ceremony.

Prof Pushpalatha welcomed the gathering. Niharika introduced the office bearers. Prof Indira Devi, Dean Arts, Dr Keerthi Devi S, dean, languages and Dr Praveen KC, dean Commerce wished the new Union members. Maithri compeered the programme and Sushmitha Achar proposed vote of thanks. Dr Minakshi K, student union director organized the programme.
