JD(S) leader urges Khazis to temporarily ban beef consumption

 Udupi, Aug 5, 2013 : Gulam Mohammad,Working President of Udupi District JD(S)  has urged the police department  to raid all illegal abbatoirs in the  coastal districts and ensure that they are shut down.

In a press communiqué, he has also urged the Khazis  to  temporarily ban Muslims from DK and Udupi districts from eating beef. He further made a request to members  of his community to oppose cattle theft cases . He also stated that cattle theft cases has  even  led to  rifts between the two communities.
