A bizarre murder in Wenlock Hospital

Mangalore, Aug 7, 2013: Unbelievable but true! A angry patient beating his caretaker to death has been reported here at the Wenlock hospital on August 6.

Prashanth aged 30 years was admitted to the hospital on August 2, for a minor surgery. Prashanth had appointed a caretaker for his needs in the hospital during his recovery.

According to Prashanth, he had appointed Kanthappa aged around 50 years to assist him. Kanthappa while doing his work, started to scare Prashanth telling him about his heroic stories of assault on people and breaking their bones. After hearing the same story a number of times, Prashanth was disturbed and on August 6, when Kanthappa again started narrating his horrific stories, Prashanth lost his patience and attacked Kanthappa inside the ward - Kanthappa who ran out from the hospital ward to protect himself was followed by Prashanth who caught him near the staircase and severely assaulted him which led to Kanthappa’s death on the spot. 

A case has been registered in the Pandeshwar Police station. The body has been shifted to the mortuary.
