K Pratapsinha Nayak elected unopposed as District BJP President

Mangalore, August 24, 2013: K Pratapsinha Nayak of Belthangady has been elected unopposed as the new President of the Dakshina Kannada district unit of the BJP for the year 2013-15.

A press communiqué from the BJP said the election process was held at the party’s district office here under the presidentship of K Padmanabha Kottari, the outgoing District President.  K Monappa Bhandari, MLC was  the election officer.

Kota Srinivas Poojari, MLC, Rukmaya Poojari, Yogish Bhat, Mallika Prasad, former MLAs, B Devadas Shetty, Sanjeeva Matandoor,  and other BJP leaders were present.

The new District President will take charge at a function to be held at CV Nayak Hall on August 31 at 11 am.
