Woman dies in hospital in couple of days after delivering a baby

Mangalore, Sep 4, 2013: A young women, who delivered a baby in Lady Goschen hospital dies after a couple of days due to developed labour complications on September 3, Tuesday night. 

The deceased Vishala (27), a resident of Vamadapadavu, Siddakatte in Bantwal had got married to Ravi of Kinnigoli in December 24, 2012. Ravi stays in Muscat for job purpose.

Vishala used to stay in her parents’ house from few months till the date of delivery. On August 31, Vishala got admitted to the hospital and on Sep 2 at 11 am she delivered a healthy male baby by Caesarian. Initially both mother and baby were doing well, but as mother’s health started to fail, she was shifted to KMC hospital on Tuesday, where she breathed her last.

The doctors have reported that the death was caused by low blood pressure, renal failure and infection.

Vishala’s  Girija said that Vishala had no health problems earlier, hence lodged a complaint with the Pandeshwar police demanding the exact reason of the death. The baby is said to be fine.
