Fire mishap at Café Coffee Day at Empire Mall

Mangalore, Oct 2, 2013 : A fire  mishap was reported at the Café Coffee Day  located  at the Empire Mall in Mangalore on October 1, Tuesday night. The outlet belonged to a Congress leader.

Sources said a short circuit was the cause of  the mishap. The fire was immediately put out by the owners and staff of Café Coffee Day. However, there was panic around as the fire could be  seen from outside the building and some locals informed the fire service station.

Though five fire  brigade vehicles rushed to the spot, they were helpless as the  place where the mishap occurred could not be reached. The fire tender vehicles could not also  reach the building from any other side  too and had to remain on mid road affecting vehicular movement.
