SIO protests against communalization of education

Udupi, Oct 4, 2013 : The Udupi district unit of the Students Islamic Organisation of India staged a protest in front of the Clock Tower on October 3, Thursday opposing the communalization of education field.

Addressing the protestors, Prof. Hayavadana Moodusagri, Convenor of the Udupi Jaathi Mukta Samaja Vedike said  school syllabus should  always be on secular lines but regretted the fact that   some of the curriculum has  glorification of Hinduism as well as false information regarding Christianity and Islam, thus corrupting young minds.,

He urged the government to frame syllabus that helps in developing amity and harmony and builds bridges of friendship between different religions.

MP Moidinabba, President of District Muslim Okkoota, SIO leaders Hussain Kodibengre and others spoke.
