Mangalore-Kozhikode special train

Mangalore, Oct 7, 2013: One special train will be run between Mangalore Central and Kozhikode from October 7 to 16 to clear the extra rush of passengers due to cancellation of trains during non-interlocked work at Shoranur Junction.

Mangalore Central-Kozhikode Express special train will leave Mangalore Central at 6.50 a.m. and will reach Kozhikode at 11.15 a.m. Kozhikode-Mangalore Central Express special train will leave Kozhikode at 5 p.m. and will reach Mangalore Central at 9.50 p.m., a release from Palakkad division of Southern Railways said.

Mangalore-Thiruvananthapuram train rescheduled
Train no. 16348, the Mangalore Central–Thiruvananthapuram Express, which was scheduled to leave Mangalore Central at 2.20 pm on October 7, has been rescheduled to leave Mangalore Central at 9 pm on the same day due to late running of the Lokmanya Tilak–Mangalore Central Matsayagandha Express, according to a press statement by the Palakkad division of Southern Railways here.

More coaches for Mangalore-Puducherry train
Puducherry-Mangalore Central-Puducherry weekly express with train nos. 16855/16856, running via Salem and Erode, will be temporarily augmented with one more 3-tier AC and seven more sleeper class coaches. A press release by the Palakkad division of Southern Railways said here that this train would have 21 coaches after augmentation. This temporary augmentation will be till November 28 from Puducherry, and till November 29 from Mangalore Central, it said.

CST Mumbai Express
According to another press release, one extra AC 3-tier coach has been added to the train nos. 12133/12134 CST Mumbai – Mangalore Junction - CST Mumbai Express. This coach would be attached till November 15 from CST Mumbai, and till November 16 from Mangalore Junction. This arrangement is purely on temporary basis to clear the extra rush of passengers, the release added.
