DK Automobile & Tyre Dealers honours two veterans members

Mangalore, Oct 31, 2013: Dakshina Kannada Automobile & Tyre Dealers Association (R), Mangalore felicitated two of its veteran members, namely Sri K. G. Shenoy (Mangalore) and Sri B. Vadiraja Beliya (Kundapur), with ‘Outstanding Contribution Award’ and ‘Lifetime Achievement Award’ respectively in recognition of their contribution to automobile and auto spares industry of the region.
The awards were conferred on the recipients during the 29th Annual General Meeting of the Association held at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, 26th October, 2013 at ‘Auto Bhavan’, the association’s premises at Maroli, Mangalore.
Association President Sri Maroor Padmanabha Pai, Secretary Sri Kasturi Prabhakar Pai, Joint Secretary Sri R. P. D’souza, Vice President Sri B. L. Suvarna, Treasurer Sri K. Vilas, Managing Committee Member Sri Shashidar Pai Maroor were present on the dais.
PROFILE OF THE RECIPIENTS
Sri KARKALA GOVINDA SHENOY is the Senior Vice President of the Association and has been actively serving the body for the last 21 years. He was responsible for streamlining the Association activities and he also played a crucial role in the formation of Federation of Karnataka Automobile and Allied Industries Associations, Bangalore during 1999. Later, he also served as the State Federation President for two years 2003 / 2005 and spearheaded the rapid expansion of the Federation throughout Karnataka state.
Sri BEJADY VADIRAJA BELIYA is a partner of The Auto Stores, Kundapur and he has been actively contributing to the firm’s growth for the last 50 years. The Auto Stores is a firm dealing mainly in truck parts, car parts and rice mill parts. A simple and unassuming person, his career stands testimony to how ‘Sky is the limit’ for a meritorious person.
Through this firm, he has been instrumental in providing quality spares and reliable service to meet the needs of the automobile industry of the region, maintaining high standards of professional ethics.
