Dreaded criminal Kalia Rafique in police net for killing Uppala realtor

Kasargod, Nov 15, 2013 : Kaliya Rafique the prime accused in the case of the murder of real estate businessman Muttalib of Uppala, has been trapped along with his accomplice Shamshuddin from Uppala Bappaithotti.

Both were arrested at Ajmer in Rajasthan on November 14, Thursday by a special police team which is investigating the case.

Muttalib was shot at and hacked to death by some assailants when he was returning home in his car on the night of October 24. The police had earlier arrested   two persons on the charges of aiding the killers.

It is learnt, the main accused had fled to Bangalore soon after the murder and had moved to Mumbai from there. They then went in hiding in Ajmer where they were caught.

Sources said Kalia Rafique has admitted the crime and also that  they had sketched the murder plot almost two months ago. Rafique is a dreaded criminal wanted in connection with several cases.
