Catholic Sabha to hold ‘Christa Jayanthi Kalasangama 2013’ on Nov 30

Mangalore, Nov 28, 2013: The Catholic Sabha Mangalore Pradesh in association with St Vincent Ferrer Church- Valencia Unit and Karnataka Christian Education Society (KACES) will organize ‘Christa Jayanthi Kalasangama 2013’ at Valencia Church premises on Nov 30 and Dec 1.

Speaking at the press meet held at Press Club on Nov 28, Thursday, Anil Lobo, convener of Kalasangama said that Christmas Cultural Competitions will be inaugurated on Nov 30 at 5.30pm.

Minister for forest and environment Ramanath Rai and Minister for Health  UT Khader will be the chief guests, while  Rev Fr Bonaventure Nazareth, Parish Priest of Valencia Church will preside over the event.

Msgr. Denis Moras Prabhu-Vicar General of Mangalore Diocese, will preside , and M.P. Noronha, an renowned senior Advocate  will be the chief guest for the cultural programme to be held in Konkani On Dec 1.

Rev. Fr. Joseph Martis, Rector of St Joseph Seminary presides and C.G. Pinto General Manager of Corporation Bank will be the chief guest for the finale and prize distribution ceremony at 8 pm.
The winners will be awarded Rs. 15,000 cash prize along with a trophy, while the runners up and third prize winner will receive Rs. 10,000 and Rs 7,000 respectively and a trophy.
