Made Made Snana to be performed at Kukke temple : Krishnaprasad

Subramanya, Dec 6, 2013: Made Made Snana will be performed in Kukke Subramanya temple from December 7 to December 9 even as members of backward communities and few seers have threatened to go on protest.

“The Apex Court has ordered status quo and Made Snana will be performed this year too.” said Krishnaprasad Madtila, chairman, temple Administrative Board, Kukke Subramanya Temple.

 “The Deputy Commissioner of Dakshina Kannada District has also given his approval,” he added.

Made Made Snana a practice which involved a section of devotees rolling over plantain leaves with leftovers was termed as inhuman by some thinkers and several associations. 2012 also witnessed widespread protests demanding the ban of Made Made Snana which was termed as inhuman.
