You Tube, Facebook help in nabbing thief

Kasargod, Dec 26, 2013 : CCTV footage  showing a person robbing a cash of Rs  8000  from another person at a medical shop at Kanhangad helped in tracking down the  thief after the footages were uploaded in You Tube and Facebook.

The incident is learnt to have taken place at a medical store at Kanhangad on December 10. It is learnt, one Ismail had robbed the cash from PK Joy from Kallar even as he was busy speaking to the shop owner. When Joy realised that his cash was stolen, he informed it to the shop owner who checked the CCTV footage when the theft was confirmed.

Later the footage was uploaded on You Tube and Facebook. A man who worked in a jewellery shop at Kanhangad who happened to see the footages, identified the thief and  immediately intimated the police who tracked him down at a hotel in Kanhangad recently and arrested him.
