Team Mangalore kites to soar Dubai skies

Mangalore, Jan 14, 2014: Team Mangalore, the hobby group of kite flyers of Mangalore, is all set to showcase its spectacular kites at the Dubai International Kite Festival scheduled to be held  on January 17 at the Dubai Outlet Mall. The Team has been officially invited for this annual event of kite lovers in Middle East.

Three members from Team Mangalore  namely Subhash Pai of MRPL,  Pran Hegde and Vasanth Sanil will  represent their  group in Dubai. Some of the kites which would be displayed include  the nation’s largest kite named  Kathakkali, Garuda, Yakshagana, Charlie, Pushpaka Vimana, Delta Devil, Durga etc.

The Festival will also include workshops on kite making and flying.

Team Mangalore has already taken part in various international  kite  flying festivals  at Thailand, Italy, Hongkong, UK, France and Canada and has won accolades.
