Vanessa D’souza runner-up in 18th Grand Chess Challenge in Malaysia

Mangalore, Feb 4, 2014: Mangalorean Vanessa D’souza, a student of R.V College of Engineering, Bangalore, has won the 2nd Runner Up in the 18th Grand Chess Challenge- International Inter Varsity Chess Championship 2014 held at at Malaya University, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from 23rd to 28th January.

 

She has won the 2nd Runner Up (Bronze) place in the Women category and First Runner Up (Silver) in the Team category.

She is a Derik’s Chess School talent has won many chess championships including the first CAI (Chess Association of India) National Women Chess championship held at Palakkad in 2010.
