DK gets new Principal District Judge

Mangalore, Apr 29, 2014: The First Additional District and Sessions Judge of Dakshina Kannada Uma M.G. will be taking over as the new Principal District and Sessions Judge of Dakshina Kannada on April 31.

She will be replacing the incumbent B.V. Prakash, who has been transferred as the Presiding Officer of the Labour Court in Bangalore, vide order dated April 26.

Among 51 district judges transferred includes B.K. Naik, who will be moving from 2{+n}{+d}Additional District Court to the First Additional District Court in Mangalore. Chandrashekar M. Joshi will be the new 2{+n}{+d}Additional District and Sessions Judge.

The third Additional District and Sessions Judge T.G. Shivashankaregowda has been transferred to the post of District Judge, OOD, Central Project Coordinator (Computers), Karnataka High Court.

Udupi changes

The 33{+r}{+d}Additional City Civil and Sessions Judge Rajashekhar V. Patil has been posted as the Additional District and Sessions Judge, Udupi, who will be sitting at Kundapur. Shivashankar Amarannavar has been posted as District and Sessions Judge Udupi in place of B.M. Angadi, who will be retiring on May 31, according to an official press release.

Among the transfers in Senior Civil and Civil Judges grade, Basavaraj C.K has been posted as Principal Senior Civil Judge and JMFC, Puttur.

Tattanda Damayanti Somayya has been posted as Principal Civil Judge Mangalore. Poornima Bhandarkar has been posted as the Principal Civil Judge and JMFC, Karkala, Udupi.
