Lightning kills two labourers

Mangalore, Apr 30, 2014: Two persons have died reportedly after lightning struck a tree in Kellebutige village, around 15 kms from Moodbidri, on Tuesday afternoon. Around 3.30 p.m., Dinesh (28) and Gangadhar (32), both daily-wage labourers, were working on a compound of a small temple when lightning struck an acacia tree nearby, said Kishore Kumar, Kellebutige Village Accountant (VA).

While Mr. Gangadhar died on the spot, Mr. Dinesh died on the way to the hospital.
