Youth dies of electric shock; DSS blames electric company

Belthangady, May 8, 2014 : In a tragic incident a twenty four year old boy died due to electric shock at Ujire on Wednesday, May 7 evening.

The electric shock occurred when Rajesh was doing wiring during house warming ceremony at Kalle in Ujire.

The Dalit Sangarsha Samithi alleged that Rajesh was a coolie worker and not a electrician. However the company which took up the electrification contract made Rajesh work as a electrician. It is due to their negligence that Rajesh has died.
