Beltangady, May 10, 2014: A young man engaged in rubber tapping and had recently started a food supply chain,   Bijoy (39), residing in Kadari near Bajagoli in Karkala taluk, died on the spot, in a mishap near the church road bus stop here on Friday May 9.

The bike, was hit head-on by a KSRTC bus from Mangalore towards Dharmasthala.  Jaison Mathew, who was on the bike too was critically injured in the accident. They were returning from the market just half a kilometer away. The Police concerned have booked a case in this regard.

The number of gory road accidents are too many and regulations and controls must be put in place by higher ups to avoid the many untimely deaths of young people on the road.
