Moodbidri : Thieves burgle house; decamp with jewellery worth Rs 10 lakhs

Moodbidri, May 14, 2014 : Jewellery worth nearly Rs 10 lakhs were reported stolen from a house at Kadandale Poopadikallu in Paladka on Monday May 12 night. The theft occurred in the house of Pius Oswald Pinto.

The Pinto couple who had attended a roce ceremony the previous evening had returned home at 11 pm and retired to bed. They came to know of the theft only in the morning. The suspicion is that the theft took place when the couple were away.

The  thieves gained entry into the house through the rear door. Moodbidri police are investigating the case.
