K. DC calls for awareness on child labour evils

Mangalore, May 26, 2014:  Deputy Commissioner A B Ibrahim  stressed  there was an urgent need for awareness on evils of child labour every where. All children should get  education  to ensure that they enjoy their child rights. Chairing a meeting on committee for  ’prevention of child trafficking’ .

District Labour Officer,  Anandamurthy said that in 2013-14, five child labourers have been rescued and have been enrolled to the school. Case has been filed against the employers fines have been collected.  The meeting also discussed on observing World Day Against Child Labour on June 12.
