Tall Bahubali statue to reach Moodbidri June 8,from Jodukatte

Mangalore, June 06, 2014:  Speaking to media  Moodbidri Jainmutt seer Charukeerthi Bhattaraka Swami said that initially it was decided to install the statue at Sammeda Shikharjee at Madhuban in Jharkand, but the place has not been finalised yet.

The statue which will be brought to Moodbidri and will be placed as ‘Darshana Murthy’ for four months in the town.

Then it will be taken to the place where it will be installed. The 15.5 feet tall Bahubali statue which has been sculpted at Jodukatte will be brought in a procession from Jodukatte to Moodbidri on June 8. The statue weighing 18 to 20 tonnes is sculpted by Marimuthu and Rajendra at Jodukatte,

As per the programme procession will start from Jodukatte at 10.30 am. SCDCC Bank President Rajendra Kumar will flag  off the  function which is expected to reach Moodbidri at 3.15 pm, it was announced.
