Scholarship for beedi workers’ children

Mangalore, June 14, 2014:  The S.K. Beedi Workers’ Federation has asked beedi workers to send applications for a monthly scholarship for their children.

The scholarship ranging between Rs. 250 and Rs. 8,000 is being given by Beedi Workers’ Welfare Department. The worker needs to have served in a beedi unit for a minimum of six months. The application should be submitted by September 15, according to a press release.
