MLA Lobo inaugurates Adi Dravida annual meet

Mangalore, June 17, 2014: Adi Dravida community members should emphasise on education for the progress of the community, said Mangalore South MLA J RLobo in Mangalore.

He was speaking after inaugurating the annual meet of Jilla Adi Dravida Samaja Seva Sangha and 123rd birth anniversary celebrations of B R Ambedkar in Town Hall, Mangalore. The MLA said that education is essential to get a place in the society.  Differently abled persons should also aim high and work towards achieving the goal.

Former minister Krishna J Palemar was the chief guest. Mangalore Mayor Mahabala Marla, District Adi Dravida Sangha president Shivaraj P G, Bantwal Town Municipal Council President Vasanthi Chandappa among others were presenst. Challenged persons Bharathi, Sundar and Priyanka were provided with financial assistance. Social workers Harekala Hajabba, Krishna Sooterpete and Mangalore Taluk Panchayat President Rajani Padumarnadu were honoured on the occasion.

The meritorious students from the community were also felicitated.
