Mangalore, June 24, 2014: The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) has declared June as the Capital Market Week and is organising a mega event on the topic- ‘Capital market- The Growth Engine’ in six cities across the country including Mangalore. As a part of it, the Mangalore chapter of ICSI is hosting the mega event, at The Karnataka Bank Auditorium, Kodialbail, Mangalore, on June 25, from 10 am to 5 pm.
Addressing media persons, on Saturday, Mangalore chapter of ICSI Chairman Ullas Kumar Melinamogaru said that Canara Bank Chairman and Managing Director R K Dubey will inaugurate the event, while ICSI Secretary M S Sahoo will deliver the key note address. ICSI President R Sridharan will preside over the function, he said.
For the first technical session on ‘Regulatory changes and challenges’, from 11.45 am to 1 pm, Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) Chief General Manager Suresh B Menon and V Badri of National Stock Exchange of India will be speakers.
For the second session- ‘The growth driver,’ from 2 pm to 3.15 pm, SEBI Chief General Manager V S Sundaresan, BSE SME Platform Head Ajay K Thakur and Madras Stock Exchange former director V Nagappan will be the speakers. From 3.15 pm to 3.45 pm, for the third session on ‘Investor activism and class action suits’, Ministry of Finance OSD (CD and Law) Praveen Trivedi, SEBI former executive director J N Gupta and Tamil Nadu Investors’ Association President Shyam Shekar will be the speakers, Ullas Kumar Mangalore chapter of ICSI Management Committee Member stated.
