DK DC orders on clean water storage

Mangalore, June 25, 2014:  DK Deputy Commissioner AB Ibrahim has directed Mangalore City Corporation, Town Panchayats and TMCs to ensure that water tanks in hotels, bakery and fast food centres are cleaned, to check the breeding of mosquitoes.

A press release said that there is every possibility of spread of communicable diseases like dengue, malaria, chikungunya and filaria during monsoon. The water should be filtered and clean. The water tanks should be cleaned. The samples of water should be tested in laboratory in the office of DHO and collect a certification and submit it to the DC’s office every week.
