DK DC wants 353 dispalced to be given employment

Mangalore, June 26, 2014:  A total of 2,329.82 acre land has been acquired for the MSEZ. According to the government order, the families that had given land should be given employment. Accordingly, 811 persons were eligible for employment. Employment has been provided to 458 persons. Deputy Commissioner A B Ibrahim has directed the SEZ officials to provide employment to 353 displaced persons by July 2014 end.

He was chairing a meeting recently. The officials from MSEZ said that 191 persons can be provided with employment. There is technical problem in providing employment to remaining 161 persons. As 51 applicants who had sought employment are still pursuing their studies, the DC directed the officials to provide them with scholarships and training and speed up their employ-ability.
