Woman dies of burn injuries

Udupi, June 27, 2014:  A woman who suffered burn injuries due to explosion of a pressure cooker on June 16 died at the hospital in Udupi on Thursday.

According to the police, Sridevi, on June 16, was cooking food when the pressure cooker exploded, and all curry fell on her. Sridevi, who suffered burn injuries, was admitted to the Kasturba Hospital in Manipal for treatment and died at around 9.15 a.m. on Thursday.

A case of unnatural death had been registered.
