Balmatta Road to be one way

Mangalore, June 30, 2014:  According to a press release from Mangalore City Police Commissioner, all vehicles coming from Karavali Junction (Kankanady Circle) which were moving towards Horticulture Junction, by taking a right turn, will now have to move on the Bendorewell Junction to Balmatta Junction Road and take the SCS Hospital Road.  All vehicles from Balmatta Circle which were earlier moving towards Bendorewell Junction will now have to go to Horticulture Junction via SCS Hospital Road, take a right turn and proceed towards Bendorewell Junction.

  Likewise, vehicles which were earlier taking the Horticulture Junction, SCS Road towards Balmatta Circle will have to go to Bendorewell Junction, take a right and go to Balmatta Circle.

The traffic rule will make Balmatta Circle to Horticulture Junction Road, Horticulture Junction to Bendorewell Road and Bendorewell Road to Balmatta Circle one-way.

To facilitate smooth flow of traffic, parking has been banned from Horticulture Junction to SCS Hospital on both sides of the road and old Canara Bank building at Balmatta Circle.
