Book on tumors by well known doctor released

Mangalore, June 30, 2014:  Renowned gynaecologist Dr R  Rathidevi- ‘Mahileyarannu Kaduva Fibroid Geddegalu,’ published by Vijaya Publications, was released at Mangalore Press Club, June 28. This is her 19th book.  Well-known writer Dr Sreevarma Heggade released the book. Government Lady Goshen Hospital Superintendent Dr Shakunthala M said that Dr R Rathidevi’s writings are simple and easy to understand.

Dr R Rathidevi explained,  fibroid tumours do not turn into cancer tumours, but if they are developed at an younger age, it would be a challenge for doctors to remove the tumour without harming the womb. Dakshina Kannada District Working Journalists’ Association President P B Harish Rai presided over the function. Association of Mangalore Taluk Mahila Mandala Founder President K A Rohini was also present.
